I have not actually visitid the museum but I can attest to the quality of the airshow that they produce each year. I have been to the show several times and each time have been awarded with some terrific photos and wonderful memories. I have also spoken to Kevin and many of the airshow staff and have found them to be exceptional. Looking forward to the next show.
Was really a great experience especially being a Air force vet, several airplanes even a WW1 and artifacts to explore as well, nice staff, gift shop. Definitely worth a stop, won't disappoint
Accessible. Informative. Display on Rosies opens one's eyes to the major role of women in the war effort. Hats off to the Yankee Air Museum! There is an admission fee. Clean, accessible restrooms. Volunteers are happy to guide you through exhibits or just answer questions.
I stopped in today on my way to visit some friends in Detroit. I work at the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo and was excited to see this museum, especially knowing the history of the Willow Run factory during WWII. I had a really great and informative tour from Fred, and everyone who I talked to here was very friendly and had helpful. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
Flew on the B17G Yankee Lady on 10/8/2023 out of Greenville SC Downtown Airport (GMU) and it was the ride of a lifetime! Don't hesitate to do this if you can. The staff and pilots were fantastic and made it an even more wonderful experience. Takeoff and landing smooth as silk! Thank you again! Bo Wood
Fabulous “working” museum. Book a flight experience on an actual WWII bomber or a Vietnam Huey and then tour the museum for free. A rare and unforgettable treat!
1943 July I sergeant Fleming. Shut down is in a bombing mission over Sicily captured in ragas, Italy and rescued by the Americans a week later, a Michigan man, a 2 hero lost in time. After coming out of the hospital, he was assigned to general do letters, air command and this credited with sinking submarines and ships overnight polls a very interesting piece of history. Here I needed to go to the Yankee museum. Janani body, help me. It measures 53 wide by 32 tall.
We took the whole extended family. We really enjoyed ourselves and the interpreter was a wealth of knowledge. They also have a very nice gift shop as well. Parking is close to the door. If you buy tickets in advance they are discounted.
